LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 341

Secretary and Chief Clerks of the respective houses,
three thousand dollars; for the salary of the Secre-
tary of the Senate, three hundred dollars; for the
salary of the Chief Clerk of the House of Dele-
gates, three hundred dollars; for binding the Laws,
Journals and Documents of the present session,
twelve hundred dollars; for the expenses of dis-
tributing bound copies of the Laws, Journals and
Public Documents of the present session, to the
Clerks and Registers of Wills of this State, and
to the Governors of the several States, one hun-
dred and fifty dollars; to the expense of indexing
the Laws, Journals and Public Documents, seven
hundred dollars.

FOR THE CONTINGENT FUNDS.

Contingent
fund.

For the contingent fund, provided in the Con-
stitution to be placed at the disposal of the Gov-
ernor, six thousand dollars; for the contingent
funds of the Treasury Department, one thousand
dollars; for the postage of the Executive and
Treasury Departments, two thousand dollars; for
the contingent fund of the Library, including the
expenses of postage, of porterage and freight of sta-
tionery for use of the office, of assistance and me-
nial service, of advertising and printing and all
other incidental expenses, one thousand three hun-
dred dollars; for the Comptroller, for printing
blank licenses, twelve hundred dollars; for the
Comptroller, for cost of printing the annual report,
five hundred dollars; for the fund appropriated
for the augmentation of the Library, five hundred
dollars; to the Librarian for compensation in pur-
suance of resolutions number twelve of eighteen
hundred and thirty-three, seventy-five dollars; for
binding five hundred copies of the index to the
Journals and Documents as prepared under reso-
lution fifty, of eighteen hundred and forty-nine,
and the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-four,
chapter one hundred and forty-six, as directed by
an order of the House of Delegates of eighteen
hundred and fifty-six, two hundred and fifty dol-
lars.

FOR BALTIMORE CITY.

Balt. city.

For the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
in pursuance of the act of January session of eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-three, chapter two hundred
and sixty-six, twenty thousand dollars; for the ap-
propriation to the Maryland Institute, for the pro-
