CHAPTER 325.

CHAP 325.

AN ACT to amend the sixty, sixty-one, sixty-two,
sixty-three, sixty-four, sixty-five, sixty-six, six-
ty-seventh, sixty -eighth and sixty-ninth sections
of article fifty-five of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to licenses for the sale of spiritu-
ous or fermented liquors by retailors, and to
amend the eighty-sixth, eighty-seventh, eighty-
eighth, eighty-ninth, ninety, ninety-first, ninety-
second, ninety-third, ninety-fourth sections of
of article fifty-five of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to licenses to oyster or eating
houses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sixty, sixty-first, sixty-sec-
ond, sixty-third, sixty-fourth, sixty-fifth, sixty-
sixth, sixty-seventh, sixty-eighth, and sixty-ninth
sections of article fifty-five of the code of public
general laws, relating to licenses, are hereby re-
pealed, and the following sections be enacted as a
substitute therefor:

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if it shall ap-
pear from such statement that the amount of the
applicant's stock in trade does not, or will not, ex-
ceed five hundred dollars, the sum of eighteen dol-
lars shall be demanded and received by said clerk
from said applicant, before granting the license ap-
plied for.

SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That if more than five
hundred dollars, and not more than one thousand
dollars, the sum of thirty-five dollars.

SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That if more than one
thousand dollars, and not more than two thousand
dollars, the sum of fifty dollars.

SEC. 5. If more than two thousand dollars, and
not more than four thousand dollars, the sum of
seventy-five dollars.

SEC. 6. If more than four thousand dollars, and
not more than six thousand dollars, the sum of one
hundred dollars.
