AN ACT authorising the State Librarian to fur-
nish the clerk of the Circuit court of Worcester
county, with certain acts of Assembly, and Alex-
ander's Chancery Practice.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the State Librarian be-autho-:
rised and requested to furnished the clerk of the
Circuit Court of Worcester county, with copies of
the acts of Assembly, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and forty-three and eighteen
hundred and forty-three, also one copy of Alexan-
der's Chancery Practice; Provided, the same can
be spared from the Library.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the time of its passage.

CHAPTER 317.

In force.

A SUPPLEMENT to the act entitled, an act to
incorporate the Franklin Savings Bank of Fred-
erick.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
Maryland, That the Franklin Savings Bank of
Frederick, shall be and is hereby authorised to
issue promissory notes in sums of not less than five
dollars, which notes shall be signed by the presi-
dent and secretary and made payable to order;

Provided, that the amount of notes issued, shall
not exceed double the amount of stocks to be es-
timated at their market value for which certificates
shall be held by said bank of the State of Maryland,

State of Virginia, State of Missouri or other State
stock and the city of Baltimore, which stocks shall
constitute a fund for the redemption of the issues
of said bank, and shall be pledged to redeem the
same; and provided, that no note or notes shall be
issued until said bank shall be in possession of cer-
tificates of said stock to the amount of notes in cir-
