AN ACT to authorise the Treasurer of this State
upon the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay a
sum of money to John D. Ehlers, a private in
the Baltimore City Guards, who was seriously
injured during the riots on the main stem of the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, in the month of
May, in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-seven,
and appropriating the sum of two hundred dol-
lars in full payment therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer he and he is hereby
directed and required upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller, to pay unto the said John D. Ehlers, out
of any unappropriated money in the Treasury, the
sum of two hundred dollars, in full compensation
for injuries received by the said John D. Ehlers,
while performing military services under the orders
of the Governor of this State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect and be in full force from the day of its
passage.

AN ACT to amend the ninety-seventh section of
the third article of the Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to elections in Baltimore county,
by directing that elections shall be held at such
places as shall or may hereafter be established by
law.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following section shall be a
substitute for the ninety-seventh section of the third
article of the Code of Public Local Laws, which
section is hereby repealed: Baltimore county is
divided into thirteen election districts, according to
