CHAP. 291.

CHAPTER 290.

Passed March
7, 1860.

AN ACT to amend the Code of Public Local Laws
of Caroline county, by adding section one hun-
dred and eighty-one, relating to schools and
substituting therefor the following:

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section one hundred and eighty-
one of the Code of Public Local Laws of Caroline
county, relating to schools, be and the same is here-
by repealed.

Power to es-
tablish public
school.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That school district
in election district number one and two shall remain
as now established, and the trustees thereof hold
and exercise the powers they have heretofore exer-
cised, unless altered or changed as herein provided,
and the judges of the Orphans' court of said coun-
ty are hereby authorised and required to appoint
five suitable persons, in and for the third election
district of said county, as provided in section one
hundred and eighty-two of said Public Local Law,
who shall have all and singular, the powers for
establishing a public school in said third district
in the part thereof known as Hunting Creek Neck,
as are now provided by law for the schools in other
districts in said county.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

pany of Baltimore city.

of Maryland, That James C. Wheeden, Peter
Mowell, Zenos Barnum, James Harvey, Charles
W. Lord, Alfred Spates, William H. Tuck, James
M. Seth, Thomas Sewell, Jr., James Higgins,
Thomas H. Gardner and Augustus E. Sollers, be
and they are hereby appointed commissioners, under
