AN ACT to repeal the ninety-eighth section of
article eighteen of the Code of Public Local
Laws relating to the compensation of the Trea-
surer of the School Fund for Saint Mary's county,
and to enact the following section in lieu thereof.
|

|
Compensa-
tion.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the School
Fund of Saint Mary's county, shall be entitled to
receive for his services, the sum of one hundred and
fifty dollars.
|
|
|
In force.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to amend article fourteen of the Code of
Public Local Laws, by adding the following sec-
tions thereto, relating to the public roads in
Kent county.
|
|
|
Power of road
supervisors.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the supervisors of roads in Kent
county, may enter upon adjacent lands, and by
ditching or otherwise, draw the water from the
public roads.
|
|
|
Damages.
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the county commis-
sioners upon satisfactory proof, may make allow-
ances and levy for any injury that may be done by
such drainage to the owners of said land.
|
|
|
Obstructions.
|
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That the filling up or ob-
struction of such avenues or openings may be pun-
ished by the Circuit court for Kent county, by pre-
sentment or indictment, as for obstructions of the
public roads.

|
|
In force.
|
SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
