CHAP. 276.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That none of the
property of this corporation shall he disposed of
without the consent of two-thirds of the members
of the association who shall attend a meeting after
due notice as aforesaid.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the property now
owned, or which may hereafter be acquired by this
corporation for the purposes of an asylum, shall be
exempt from taxation so long as it shall be occu-
pied as such.

Exempt from
taxation.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That until the first
Thursday in January next, and until their succes-
sors shall be appointed, pursuant to the third and
fourth sections of this act, the present officers and
managers shall continue in office, that is to say:
OFFICERS — Mrs. Elish N. Brown, president; Mrs.
David Courtenay, first vice president; Mrs. J. Spear
Nicholas, second vice president; Mrs. Harman
Brown, treasurer; Mrs. Basil B. Gordon, secretary.

MANAGERS — Mrs. Elish N. Brown, Mrs. Thomas
Wilson, Mrs. Joseph King, Mrs. Galloway Ches-
ton, Mrs. Richard Janney, Mrs. Thomas Swan,
Mrs. Miles White, Mrs. Reverdy Johnson, Jr.,
Mrs. Frederick Levering, Mrs. Samuel Hough,
Mrs. William B. Canfield, Mrs. Bushrod Taylor,
Mrs. Harmon Brown, Mrs. A. Brown Davidson,
Mrs. Basil B. Gordon, Mrs. J. Spear Nicholas, Mrs.
John Brook, Mrs. Charles Ridgely, Mrs. Isaac
Tyson, Mrs. Ruth Cobb, Mrs. Hiram Woods, Mrs.
