owners thereof, in and to the lands included in the
return to be made by the jury aforesaid, and the
clerk of the Circuit court of the county, be and the
same are hereby vested in the said company, in
them their successors in perpetuity, in full and ab-
solute estate, and the clerk, justice, sheriff and ju-
rors shall receive the same compensation for their
respective services as they are authorised to receive
in similar cases of the condemnation and return of
valuation of lands.

CHAP. 250.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the commission-
ers of the town of Easton be and they are hereby
authorised to permit the president and directors of
said company, with the assent of a majority of the
property holders in any of the streets of said town,
to lay down such tracks as they may desire for the
purposes of this act, through any of the streets of
said town, and the commissioners of the county
are also authorised to permit, if desired by said
company, the use of any of the county roads, with
the approbation of a majority of the landholders
through whose lands the said railways may be pro-

posed to be located; Provided, the said company
shall pay annually to the commissioners of said
town the sum of ten dollars, and to the commis-
sioners of the county the sum of twenty dollars, for
the purpose of keeping said public roads on which
said railways may be located in due and proper
repair.

Proviso.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act shall be construed as to allow said company to
issue any note, token, scrip, certificate, or other
evidence of debt, to be used as a currency.

Construction.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall be
and continue in force until the first day of Janua-
ry, eighteen hundred and eighty-six, and until
the end of the next session of the General Assembly

strued to prevent the Legislature from altering,
amending or repealing this act at pleasure.

Proviso.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall
