AN ACT to repeal the twenty-seventh section of
the twentieth article of the Code of Public Local
Laws relating to the commissioners of Talbot
county, and substituting the following therefor:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That there shall be three county
commissioners for Talbot county, and each county
commissioner shall be entitled to receive two dollars
and fifty cents a day, for every day he shall neces-
sarily attend the duties of his office, and in addition
to his per diem, shall be entitled to receive mileage
at the rate of five cents per mile, for every mile he
shall have necessarily traveled from his residence
to the county town.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the twenty-
seventh section of the twentieth article of the Code
of Public Local Laws, be and the same is hereby
repealed.

AN ACT to amend the sixty-sixth section of the
eighth article of the Code of Public Local Laws,
relating to the town of Elkton, by changing the
the day for appointing the judge of election for
Town Commissioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the commissioners of Elkton,
shall annually on the first Monday of May, appoint
some person to act as judge of the election of the
commissioners of said town, who shall open the
polls at three o'clock, P. M., and close the same at
six o'clock, P. M., and the persons who shall have
the majority of votes, shall be declared elected
commissioners for the ensuing year.
