AN ACT to provide for making indices to the Land
and other Records in the Clerk's office for Charles
county, and directing the county commissioners
to levy by a tax, a sufficient sum to pay for the
same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the clerk of the Circuit court
for Charles county, be and he is hereby authorised
to prepare or have prepared a correct and faithful
index for each and every land record and all other
records in his office which are not already provided
with indices.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the county com-
missioners be and they are hereby authorised to
levy at their next levy laying term on the assessable
property of the said county, a sum sufficient to pay
for the execution of the same.

take effect its passage.

AN ACT further carrying out the provisions of
the nineteenth section of article four of the Con-
stitution, by adding new sections to the seventy-
fourth article of the Code of Public General Laws,
by authorizing the removal of causes from the
several courts of Baltimore city.
