said expenses, including an allowance of two dollars
per day to the commissioners, for their services, to
levy the same on the assessable property of said
counties, wherever such expenses may accrue re-
spectively, to be collected as other county charges
are now collected.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That, the commissioners
hereby appointed, shall value the damages that
may be sustained by the persons through whose
land the said road may pass, taking in view the
advantages and disadvantages of said road to each,
and the damages so ascertained shall be levied and
assessed in each county as other charges are, and
shall be paid by the county wherein such damages
may be sustained.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
sioners, before they proceed to act, shall take an
oath before a justice of the peace, that they will,
without favor, or partiality, or prejudice, assess the
damages sustained by persons whose land the said
road shall pass through, and that they will perform
all the duties of commissioners faithfully and to
the best of their judgment.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT entitled, an act to amend the one hun-
dred and sixteenth section of the twenty-second
article of the Code of Public Local Laws, which
authorise the Board of Primary Education in
Worcester county, to purchase, build and rent
School Houses by giving them the power to
condemn land.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the board of primary educa-
cation in Worcester county, shall purchase, have,
build or rent a school house for each school district,
and they shall have power to condemn any land
