LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 125.

Proviso.

upon all matters and questions presented to such,
meetings, shall be by shares of stock; Provided,
any three stockholders of the company present
shall so request, and every stockholder shall be
allowed one vote for every share of stock to which
he may be entitled up to the number of ten shares,
and to one additional vote for every two shares of
stock above ten shares up to the number of fifty
shares, and to one additional vote for every three
shares of stock above fifty shares to which he may
be entitled, and the said votes may be either in
person or by proxy.

Made valid.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the charter of
the said company and all the acts and proceedings
of the said company, both of the stockholders and
the directors thereunder, shall be in all respects as
valid and effectual at law and in equity as though
the whole amount of stock named in the charter
had been actually subscribed and paid in, and all
the provisions of the act of eighteen hundred and
fifty-two, chapter three hundred and thirty-eight,
had been fully complied with.

Contracts.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all contracts
made by or with the said company may be enforced
in any of the courts or other tribunals of law or
equity in this State, as effectually and fully in all
respects, as though no error or defect had ever
existed in the said charter or in any of the acts and
proceedings of the said company, under and by
virtue of the said charter.

Meetings.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the directors of
said company may call meetings of the stockholders
at any time when they deem, the interests of the
company require it, by giving similar notice of the
meeting to that provided for by the first section of
this act.

Power to
change name.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said company
shall have the power to change its name by a vote
of two-thirds of its stockholders, by filing a certifi-
cate of the president of the said company with the
clerk of the Circuit court for Talbot county.
