ma of every kind, the same rates that are charged,
or allowed to be charged, on the Baltimore and

Lateral
branch road.
|
Fredericktown Turnpike road; and that when the
said road is finished and perfected to its terminus
on Patapsco Falls, or to the terminus of the lateral
branch road aforesaid at the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad, in the manner prescribed as aforesaid,
the said company shall be, and is hereby author-
ised to erect and fix such, and so many gates across
the said road, or the said lateral branch, as may be
judged by it to be necessary and sufficient to collect the
tolls herein granted to said company, and to charge
and receive tolls for the travel thereon, at the rates
hereinbefore prescribed; and the said company is
hereby clothed and invested with all and singular,
the powers, rights, immunities and privileges not
inconsistent with the provisions of this act, for the
purpose of enforcing the collection of the tolls herein
authorised, as are now allowed by law to the said Bal-
timore and Fredericktown turnpike road company.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add the following sections, relating to
the powers of the Commissioners of the town of
Easton, in Talbot county, to article twenty of the
Code of Public Local Laws.

Property to
be valued at
its cash value.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That all the property, real, personal
and mixed, and of all kinds and descriptions whatso-
ever, within the limits of the town of Easton, Talbot
county, or owned by the inhabitants of said town,
and not permanently located beyond the limits
thereof, now, by law, liable to be valued and as-
sessed, and chargeable with taxes in this State,
shall be valued at its cash value, and chargeable
according to such valuation, with the public assess-
ment for the corporate purposes of the said town.
