CHAP. 82
|
Washington county, to bring into this State a cer-
tain negro boy slave for a term of years; Provided,
he shall within thirty days thereafter cause a record
to be made with the Orphans' court of said county,
of the name, age and term of service of said negro
|

boy; and provided further, that said negro hoy
shall in all respects conform to, and comply with
the laws of this State now in existence, or that may
hereafter he enacted in relation to slaves for a term
of years, and the laws now in existence or that may
hereafter he enacted, for the regulation and dispo-
sition of the free colored population of the State.

AN ACT to compensate James Revell, for cases
argued in the court of Appeals, under the ap-
pointment and by the direction of the Governor
of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer is hereby directed
to pay on the warrant of the Comptroller, the sum
of six hundred dollars to James Revell for profes-
sional services rendered the State under the ap-
pointment and by the direction of the Governor, in
arguing the following cases in the court of Appeals
of Maryland; to wit: James Wedge, (free negro, )
vs. State, Frederick Cowman vs. State, George E.
Franklin vs. State and Thomas Parkinson vs.
State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
