CHAP. 64.

CHAPTER 63.

Passed Jan.
23, 1860.

AN ACT to authorise the Clerk of the Circuit
court of Kent county, to procure a suitable book
and transcribe therein the indexes in Liber J.
N. G., number one, one of the chattel record
books for Kent county.

Clerk requir-
ed to procure
index-book.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the clerk of the Circuit court
for Kent county, be and he is hereby authorised
and required to procure a book, suitable in every re-
spect, to contain the indexes in Liber J. N. G.,
number one, one of the chattel record books for
Kent county, and to subscribe into such book, in
a clear and legible hand the present indexes in the
aforesaid chattel record book.

Fees.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said clerk
be and he is hereby entitled to receive from Kent
county, the price of the aforesaid index book, and
for transcribing the aforesaid indexes, the fees now
allowed by law to clerks for indexing, and that the
county commissioners be and they are hereby au-
thorised and required to levy upon the assessable
property of said county the amount of the price of
said index book and fees, and the same be paid to
the said clerk as other county charges.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 64.

93, 1860.

AN ACT to add the following section to article
second of the Public Local Laws, fixing the com-
pensation of Jurors of Anne Arundel county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
