To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
edtion) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
Town of Libertytown, Frederick County, Maryland, an Act
known as Chapter 556 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1949, was submitted to the voters of the said Town of
Libertytown, for their adoption or rejection under the pro-
visions thereof, said Act being:
An Act providing for the incorporation of the Town of
Libertytown, providing for the powers, duty and gov-
ernment of the town, and for the election of officers
thereof.
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 99 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 556 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1949, and 120 votes were cast against
the adoption of said Act, and a majority being cast against
the adoption of the said referred law it has therefore failed
of ratification.
IN TESTIMONY -WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-

at the City of Annapolis, this 6th day of
