STATE OF MARYLAND
OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
Town of Landover Hills, Prince George's County, an Act
known as Chapter 340 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1949, was submitted to the voters of the said Town of Land-
over, for their adoption or rejection under the provisions
thereof, said Act being:

An Act to enlarge the boundaries of Landover Hills.

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election the following votes
were cast for and against "Annexation";

Referendum Area No. 1.

For annexation to Landover Hills......... 64 votes

Against annexation to Landover Hills...... 70 votes

Referendum Area No. 2.

For annexation to Landover Hills........ 12 votes

Against annexation to Landover Hills...... 104 votes

Referendum Area No. 3.

For annexation to Landover Hills........ 39 votes

Against annexation to Landover Hills...... 123 votes

A majority of the votes being cast against the adoption
of Chapter 340 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1949,
the same has therefore failed of ratification in each of the
Referendum Areas of Prince George's County.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed my Official Seal
at the City of Annapolis, this 6th day of
(Secretary of October, in the Year of Our Lord, One
State's Seal) Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-nine.
