To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the municipal election
held in the City of Hagerstown, Washington County, Mary-
land, March 22, 1949, an Act known as Chapter 117 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1949, was submitted to the
voters of the City of Hagerstown, for their adoption or rejec-
tion under the provisions thereof, said Act being:
An Act to enact 111 new sections "to stand in place and
in lieu of sections repealed and to constitute the
municipal charter of the City of Hagerstown, establish-
ing a form of municipal government, and relating gen-
erally to the government, powers and duties of the
City.'
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 5,315 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 117 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1949, and 2,823 votes were cast against
the adoption of the said Act, and a majority being cast for
the adoption of the said referred law it has therefore been
ratified by the voters of the City of Hagerstown.
