484 JOINT RESOLUTIONS

WHEREAS, the value and importance of seafood resources for
both States make it almost a necessity that officials of the two
States continue their efforts to find some common ground for
agreement; now therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Commission of Tidewater Fisheries of the State of Maryland
and the Commission of Fisheries of the State of Virginia be
and they are hereby requested to continue their efforts to find
a mutually satisfactory solution for the problems of the
Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay areas; and be it further

Resolved, That the two Commissions be requested to report
any results of their work to the General Assembly of Mary-
land at its regular session in 1951; and be it further

Resolved, That the Secretary of State of Maryland be and
he is hereby directed to send a copy of this Joint Resolution,
under the Great Seal of Maryland, to the Virginia Commission
of Fisheries.

(Senate Joint Resolution 13)

Joint Resolution requesting the Governor to appoint a Com-
mission to study the desirability of erecting or otherwise
acquiring a State Office Building and directing said Com-
mission to report to the Governor not later than December
1, 1950, preliminary plans, cost estimates and recommenda-
tions in connection therewith.

WHEREAS, the offices of various State departments, agencies
and personnel are scattered throughout different buildings in
Baltimore City and other localities in the State, and it has
been suggested that efficiency and economy may be promoted
by the erection or acquisition of a State Office Building to
house a substantial number or all of such offices; now, there-
fore, be it

Resolved, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to appoint, on or before April 1, 1950, a Com-
mission, to be known as The State Office Building Commis-
sion, to be composed of seven members, five of whom shall be
