SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 517 of the Acts of 1949, entitled "An Act
to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-title "Health—Infants", said new section to be known as
Section 323 and to follow immediately after Section 322 of
said Article, providing for the labeling of children's furniture
and toys decorated with paint or other material containing
lead or other poisonous substance and providing for punish-
ment for non-compliance with such provision'' be and it is
hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 12)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 7
(c) (3) of Article 95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Unemployment Compensation",
sub-title "Contributions", relating to experience rating for
individuals whose business was discontinued on account of
service in the armed forces during the war.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 7 (c) (3) of Article 95A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Unemployment
Compensation", sub-title "Contributions", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:
