(Senate Bill 105)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Dorchester County," sub-title "Cambridge," sub-
heading "Compensation and Powers of Commissioners,"
said new section to be known as Section 65A and to fol-
low immediately after Section 65 of said Article, relating
to lands known as "Horn's Point" and to other lands
conveyed to the Commissioners of Cambridge by Real
Estate, Inc., by deed dated December 14, 1949.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Dorchester County," sub-title "Cambridge/'
sub-heading "Compensation and Powers of Commission-
ers," said new section to be known as Section 65A, to fol-
low immediately after Section 65 of said Article, and to
read as follows:
65A. (1) The Commissioners of Cambridge are here-
by authorized and empowered to acquire, from time to
time, by gift, purchase, exchange, lease, whatever the dura-
tion of the lease, or by other like methods of acquisition,
the whole or any part of the lands now known as "Horns
Point", and rights and privileges appurtenant thereto, sit-
uated in Cambridge Election District of Dorchester County,
State of Maryland, bounded on the North by the Great
Choptank River and on the South by the State Road lead-
ing from Cambridge to Hudson, now owned by Real Estate,
Incorporated, a corporation of the State of Delaware and
conveyed to it by Delmarva Sales, Inc., also a corporation
of the State of Delaware, by four deeds, each dated De-
cember 31st, 1947, and recorded in Liber R. S. M. No. 65
of the Land Records of said Dorchester County at folios
139, 140, 141 and 143, respectively.
(2) Provided further, that such of the lands known as
"Horns Point" as may be acquired by The Commissioners
of Cambridge from time to time from Real Estate, In-
corporated, as well as the lands at the north corner of
