SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an acute emergency and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 19 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Comp-
troller," said new section to be known as Section 7 and
to follow immediately after Section 6 of said Article,
providing that the Comptroller shall return the Income
Tax Division and the Alcoholic Beverages Division of

PROVIDING THAT THE COMPTROLLER SHALL
RETURN TO ANNAPOLIS THE OFFICE OF THE
ADMISSIONS TAX DIVISION, THE OFFICE OF
THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DIVISION AND,
FOR THE INCOME TAX DIVISION, OFFICE FA-
CILITIES AND PERSONNEL SUFFICIENT TO
SERVE THE CITIZENS AND TAXPAYERS OF
SOUTHERN MARYLAND AND OF THE EASTERN
SHORE; AND TO REQUIRE THE EMPLOYEES OF
SAID DIVISION TO OCCUPY THE STATE OFFICE
BUILDING IN ANNAPOLIS UNTIL OTHERWISE
PROVIDED BY LAW.
