On page 147 of the Printed Bill, under the title "Miscellaneous Appropria-
tions No. 5", following the line reading "not been made in this budget",
strike out the amount $500,000" and insert in lieu thereof the amount
"$250,000".

(Senate Bill 4)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 4, 5, 7 to 19A, inclusive, 20 to 50,
inclusive, and Section 52 of Article 100 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Ed. and 1947 Supp.), title "Work
—Hours of, in Factories", sub-title "Employment of
Minor", and to enact in lieu thereof 40 48 new sections to
be known as Sections 4 to 52 51, inclusive, and to follow im-
mediately after Section 3 of said Article; and to repeal
Sections 459 and 461 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Ed.) title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-titles "Minors—Care and Protection of" and "Minors—
Employment on the Streets"; and to repeal Section 174 of
Article 89 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Ed.),
title "Department of Labor and Industry", sub-title
"Bureau of Mines", relating to the employment of minors.
