WHEREAS, he was a man of unusual vigor and ability coupled
with personal charm and was a leader in the business, civic and
religious life of his City and State; and

WHEREAS, in his passing, the City of Baltimore and the State
of Maryland have lost a foremost public servant and a man of deep
humanitarian sympathies; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate of Maryland, That the sincere regrets of
the members of this body be expressed on the death of the late
Honorable James J. Lacy and that the sympathies of the members
of this body be extended to the members of his family; and be it
further

Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be spread upon the
Journal of the Senate and that the Secretary of the Senate be and
he is hereby directed to send a copy thereof to the family of the
late Honorable James J. Lacy.

Which was read and adopted.
