the precinct or district, the Board of Eegistry shall so indi-
cate on said cards or loose-leaf page by proper notation but
shall not be required to draw a line in red ink as provided in
Sub-section 4 of Section 15 of this Article.
(c) The provisions of Sub-sections 6, 7 and 9 of Section 15
of this Article shall not apply except insofar as they may be
applicable to the use of cards or loose-leaf pages instead of
permanently bound registry books.
(d) In carrying out the provisions of Section 18 of this
Article the Board of Registry shall, instead of drawing a line
in red ink through the name and other entries with respect to
a voter, certify to the Board of Supervisors of Elections of
said County the names of all persons whom they shall have
determined not to be qualified voters and upon receipt of
such certification said Board of Supervisors shall make an
appropriate notation to this effect on said voter's card or
loose-leaf page and shall remove said card or page from the
book of registry, and the elimination of all names from said
books of registry, whether by reason of death, removal, dis-
qualification or otherwise, shall be effected in like manner
by the Supervisors of Elections of said County upon the certi-
fication of the Boards of Registry. All such cards or loose-leaf
pages removed from said books of registry shall be retained
in the office of the Supervisors of Elections for a period of five
years open to public inspection.
(e) The Board of Registry shall not be required to sign
their names under the last name registered under each letter
of the registers as provided in Section 19 of this Article, said
provisions being inapplicable to registration upon cards or
loose-leaf pages as herein provided.
(f) In carrying out the provisions of paragraph (b) of
Section 34 of this Article with respect to canceling the regis-
tration of any voter who has not voted at least once at a
primary, general or special election within the five preceding
calendar years, the Board of Supervisors of Elections shall
remove the cards or loose-leaf pages of said voter from the
registry books and place the same in a transfer file instead of
causing the registration of such voter to be canceled by eras-
ing his name from the registry.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all provisions of
this Article with respect to the registration of voters and the
keeping and maintaining of records thereof which are incon-
sistent with and inapplicable to the use of cards or loose-leaf
pages shall not apply in any county adopting such cards or
loose-leaf pages.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That the Supervisors of
Elections are hereby authorized to acquire, maintain and
