184. The County Commissioners for Queen Anne's County
shall meet as often as they may deem necessary; provided, that
they shall hold not less than one meeting in each week, and each
of said County Commissioners shall receive as compensation
for his services a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars per
year. In addition, each Commissioner shall receive not exceed-
ing three hundred dollars ($300. 00) each year for traveling
and other expenses in the performance of his duties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 3 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Balti-
more County", said new sections to be under a new sub-title
"Public Works", said new sections to be known respectively
as 544A and 544B, and to follow immediately after Section
544 of said Article, the same providing for a Department of
Public Works of Baltimore County, and authorizing and
empowering the County Commissioners of Baltimore County
to appoint and pay the salary and expenses of a Chief
Engineer of Baltimore County and such personnel as may
be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the office
of the Department of Public Works; to provide for the
rights, duties and powers of the Chief Engineer of Balti-
more County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be added to Article 3 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Balti-
more County", said new sections to be under a new sub-title
"Public Works", said new sections to be known respectively as
544A and 544B and to follow immediately after Section 544 of
said Article, and to read as follows:
PUBLIC WORKS
544A. There shall be a Department of Public Works of
Baltimore County, the head of which department shall be the
Chief Engineer of Baltimore County. The County Commis-
