City and the Cottage City Commission are hereby directed to
pledge the revenues derived from the collection of special
assessments authorized to be levied by Section 283 of this
Article to the payment of the principal and interest on said
bonds and the amount of the tax levy hereinabove authorized
shall be reduced in each and every year it is necessary to levy
the same, by the amount of the revenue collected from such
special assessments in such year and made available for the
payment of the principal and interest on said bonds.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall consti-
tute full and complete authority for the issuance and sale of
such bonds without regard to any other statutory provision or
limitation now in force.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

(House Bill 720)
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Garrett County to borrow a sum of money to be used by the
County Board of Education of said County in adjusting the
compensation of the contractors operating school buses in
said County and providing for the levy, in 1944, to repay
said loan with interest.
WHEREAS, the contractors who have contracts for operating
the school buses in Garrett County are unable to keep their
vehicles in repair and operating condition under the provisions
of the present contracts, due to the increased cost of every-
thing used in the operation of said vehicles; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Garrett County be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to borrow the
sum of Six Thousand Dollars (f6, 000. 00) and to give their
promissory note therefor, at the lowest rate of interest obtain-
able, and to pay said Six Thousand Dollars (f6, 000. 00) to the
County Board of Education, which sum shall be used by said
Board of Education for adjusting the compensation of the
several contractors operating school buses in Garrett County.
