CHAPTER 606.
(House Bill 656)

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 230 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, Session of 1931, entitled "An Act
authorizing and empowering the Judges of the Circuit Court
for Prince George's County to appoint a stenographer for
the Grand Jury for Prince George's County, who, when not
so engaged, shall be the official stenographer for the State's
Attorney for Prince George's County, and who may be like-
wise subject to call by the Circuit Court for said county
for court service at such times as not in active service of
the Grand Jury or the State's Attorney; and providing for
the compensation of said stenographer", as amended by
Chapter 143 of the Acts of the General Assembly, Session
of 1933, and by Chapter 456 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly, Session of 1935, and by Chapter 322 of the Acts of the
General Assembly, Session of 1937; and to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments Section 943 of Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Prince George's County", sub-title "State's Attorney", as
amended by Chapter 499 of the Acts of the General Assent
bly, Session of 1933, and by Chapter 459 of the Acts of the
General Assembly, Session of 1935, and by Chapter 292 of
the Acts of the General Assembly, Session of 1937, relating
to the duties and providing for the salaries of the State's
Attorney for Prince George's County and the Law Assistant
to said State's Attorney; said hereby re-enacted Section
943 of Article 17 of said Code of Public Local Laws embody-
ing substantially the provisions of said Section 943 of said
Code and Chapter 230 of said Acts of 1931, as heretofore
amended, and providing for additional expenses of said
State's Attorney and Law Assistant, and restricting the
duties of said State's Attorney's stenographer to work in the
office of said State's Attorney, provision having heretofore
been made, by Chapter 176 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of 1941, for stenographers for the several Judges of the
Circuit Court for Prince George's County, and authorizing
an increase, in the discretion of the County Commissioners
of said County, in the salary of said stenographer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 230 of the Acts of the General Assembly,
Session of 1931, as amended by Chapter 143 of the Acts of the
General Assembly, Session of 1933, and by Chapter 456 of the
Acts of the General Assembly, Session of 1935, and by Chapter
322 of the Acts of the General Assembly, Session of 1937, be and
the same is hereby repealed.
