SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any part, section,
paragraph, clause or sentence of this Act be declared unconsti-
tutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder thereof shall
not be affected.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 601.
(House Bill 646)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 48 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Inspections", sub-
title "State Horticultural Department", said new section
to be known as Section 71A and to follow immediately after
Section 71 of said Article, to authorize the State Board of
Agriculture to enter into reciprocity agreements with other
States whereby nursery stock shipped into such States
may be received on the same basis as the nursery stock of
other States is received in Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted Toy the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
48 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Inspections", sub-title "State Horticultural Department",,
•said new section to be known as Section 71 A, to follow im-
mediately after Section 71 of said Article, and to read as
follows:
71A. The State Board of Agriculture is hereby authorized
and empowered to make reciprocity agreements with other
States of the United States w^ith respect to the shipment of
nursery stock into those States that enter into such agree-
ments, whereby Maryland nursery stock may be received on
the same basis as the nursery stock of other States is received
in Maryland under the provisions of this sub-title.
SEC. 2. And lie it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
