CHAPTER 587.

(House Bill 612)

AN ACT to repeal Section 402 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County", sub-title "Lonaconing", said section relating
to the property assessments by the Mayor and Councilmen.

WHEREAS, this section has been superseded by Sections 9,
10 and 190 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(1939 Edition); therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 402 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County",
sub-title "Lonaconing", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved May 4, 1943.

CHAPTER 588.
(House Bill 621)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 381-384 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County", sub-title "Licenses", said sections relating to
licenses for chain stores, etc., in Allegany County.

WHEREAS, Under a decision of the Circuit Court for Alle-
gany County on April 26, 1928, the provisions of these sections
Were held invalid but no appeal was taken to the Court of
Appeals; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 381-384 of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany
County", sub-title "Licenses", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved May 4, 1943.
