The compensation of such policemen shall be paid by the
Board of Managers of said Hospital from the funds appro-
priated for the use of or belonging to said Hospital. Such
policemen shall be appointed, commissioned and sworn in in
accordance with, and in every respect subject to, and exer-
cising the powers conferred by, the provisions of Sections 338,
339, 340 and 342 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), except as otherwise provided in this
section and except that the powers conferred upon such police-
men may be exercised for the purposes herein set forth, in any
and all parts of the State of Maryland. Such policemen shall
be removable in the discretion of the Governor.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 535.
(House Bill 468)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Fish and Fisheries",
sub-title "Tidal Waters", said new section to be known as
Section 60A and to follow immediately after Section 60 of
said Article, as said Section 60 was enacted by Chapter 709
of the Acts of 1941, and to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Section 63 of said Article, as said section was enacted
by Chapter 709 of the Acts of 1941, relating to licenses for
taking or catching fish for commercial purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 39
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Fish
and Fisheries", sub-title "Tidal Waters", said new section to
be known as Section 60A, to follow immediately after Section
60 of said Article, as said Section 60 was enacted by Chapter
709 of the Acts of 1941, and Section 63 of said Article, as said
section was enacted by Chapter 709 of the Acts of 1941, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
and both to read as follows:

60A. In addition to the licenses issued under Section 60, the
Commission shall issue additional licenses to applicants who
fished for commercial purposes with the type of nets described
in Section 60 prior to 1942 but who do not hold a license for
