CHAPTER 512.
(House Bill 376)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 386
of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Baltimore County", sub-title "Jail
and Jail Warden", relating to the compensation of the War-
den of the Jail of Baltimore County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 386 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Baltimore County",
sub-title "Jail and Jail Warden", be, and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
386. The warden of the jail shall hold his position for the
term of two years, unless sooner removed by the County Com-
missioners for incompetency, disobedience, neglect of duty or
other cause, which in the judgment of the said Commissioners
may be sufficient for such removal, but in no case shall he be
removed except upon charges involving his fitness for the posi-
tion and after notice thereof in writing and the opportunity
to be heard upon same be given him. The warden shall receive
such compensation as the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County from time to time may determine to be reasonable
and proper, and shall be permitted to occupy the dwelling
portions of the jail free of charge. The deputy warden shall
have the privilege of occupying one of the sleeping rooms in
the jail building.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 513.
(House Bill 377)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 60
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Boards of
License Commissioners", relating to the appointment of a
Chairman for the Board of Liquor License Commissioners
of Baltimore County and eliminating the maximum salary
provision as to the members of said Board.
