of the State of Maryland, and at the said general election the
vote on the said proposed amendment to the Constitution shall
be by ballot, and upon each ballot there shall be printed the
words "For the Constitutional Amendment" and "Against the
Constitutional Amendment", as now provided by law, and
immediately after said election due returns shall be made to
the Governor of the vote for and against the said proposed
amendment, as directed by said Fourteenth Article of the
Constitution, and further proceedings had in accordance with
said Article Fourteen.

CHAPTER 491.
(House Bill 183)

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 56' of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Licenses", sub-
title "License to Operators", said new section to follow
Section 162 of said Article and to be known as Section 162A;
providing that during the period of the present war and for
six months thereafter, the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles
may, after special examination and investigation, and under
certain conditions, issue a permit to operate motor vehicles
to persons fourteen and fifteen years of age, who are engaged
or employed in agricultural pursuits.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article 56 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title, "Licenses", sub-title,
^License to Operators", said new section to follow Section 162
of said Article and to be known as Section 162A, and to read
as follows:

162A. In addition to the licenses provided for in the pre-
ceding section, the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles may, dur-
ing the emergency caused by the present war and for six
months thereafter, in his discretion and after a special exami-
nation and investigation, issue a permit to persons fourteen
and fifteen years of age, who are engaged or employed in
agricultural pursuits, to operate certain designated motor
vehicles upon certain roads, highways, streets, and lanes, or
other public ways, and at such time to be designated by the
said Commissioner in the permit that he shall issue. The
Commissioner may revoke or suspend the permit at any time
upon violation of the terms of the permit to so operate. '"
