and to follow immediately after Section 11 of said Article,
to authorize housing authorities to develop, construct,
manage or operate war housing projects of the United
States of America anywhere within the State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
44A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Housing Authorities", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 11A, to follow immediately after Section 11 of said
Article, and to read as follows:

HA. A housing authority may exercise its powers any-
where in the State of Maryland as Agent or Lessee of the
United States of America in the development, construction,
operation or management of any housing project undertaken
by the United States of America for the housing of War
Workers or persons in the Armed Forces of the United States
of America.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the powers con-
ferred by this Act shall be in addition and supplemental to
the powers conferred by any other law.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 162
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title'"Refund of
Taxes", as said section was amended by Chapter 701 of the
Acts of 1941.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 162 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title
"Refund of Taxes", as said section was amended by Chapter
701 of the Acts of 1941, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
