on any day of any general, special or primary election.
In the City of Annapolis the hours shall be fixed by the
Mayor, the Counsellor and Aldermen of the City of An-
napolis. In Talbot County, the hours shall be from 8 A. M.
to 12 o'clock midnight.

D. (Beer, Wine and Liquor License, Class D (On Sale)
—Taverns in Baltimore City, North Beach, Chesapeake
Beach and in Baltimore and Howard Counties. ) In Balti-
more City and in Baltimore, Calvert and Howard
Counties, the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of
said City, if the place of business is located in said City,
or the Clerk of the Circuit Court for said Counties, if the
place of business is located in either of said Counties, shall
be authorized to issue beer, wine and liquor licenses, Class
D, which shall authorize the holder thereof to keep for sale
and sell all alcoholic beverages -at retail at the place there-
in described for consumption on the premises or elsewhere,
provided that no license shall be issued for any place in
Calvert County lying without the corporate limits of the
towns of North Beach and Chesapeake Beach respectively.
The annual fee for such license shall be Five Hundred Dol-
lars ($500. 00) in Baltimore City, Four Hundred Dollars
($400. 00) in Baltimore County and in the towns of North
Beach and Chesapeake Beach and Three Hundred Dollars
($300. 00) in Howard County, and shall be payable to the
said Clerk, before any license is issued, for distribu-
tion as hereinafter provided. No such license shall be
issued for any drug store.

No holder of any such license shall be permitted to make
any sale of any alcoholic beverage on Sunday, nor on
any other day between the hours of midnight and 6 A. M.
and between the hours of 6 A. M. and 2 A. M.
in Baltimore County and between the hours of 1 A. M. and
6 A. M. in Baltimore City. Provided, however, the holder
of such a license in Howard County shall be permitted to
sell beer daily between the hours of 6 A. M. and 1 A. M.,
except in the Fourth District where the opening hour for
the sale of beer on Sunday shall be 1 P. M.

(i) In Dorchester, Howard, Kent, Talbot and Somerset
Counties the Clerk of the Circuit Court for each of said
counties shall forthwith remit all license fees collected by
him, less a fee of One Dollar ($1. 00) for the issuance of
each license, to the Board of County Commissioners for
said County, and the Board of County Commissioners shall
use such portion of such receipts as may be necessary to
