accrued and to accrue in the collection thereof, whereupon
the party to whom the warrant is directed shall immediately
seize and take actual possession of sufficient personal prop-
erty of the party against whom the warrant is directed and
cause to be made the total amount due, by selling said per-
sonal property, if necessary, in the manner set forth in this
Section.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 454.
(House Bill 460)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact> with amendments, Section
492 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Bal-
timore City", sub-title "Criers, Bailiffs, Watchmen and
Stenographers", and to repeal Section 494, of said Article,
increasing the compensation of the night watchmen in the
several Courts of Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 492 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Criers, Bailiffs,
Watchmen and Stenographers", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
492. The City Register shall pay to the watchmen author-
ized by Sections 491 and 493 the sum of twelve hundred dollars
per annum, as and for their respective salaries, in the same
manner as is provided for the payment of the salaries of the
bailiffs of the Courts.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 494 of
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and
Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore
City", sub-title "Criers, Bailiffs, Watchmen and Stenog-
raphers", be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
