one year as compensation for his services and mileage as
allowed thereunder a sum exceeding Eight Hundred Dollars
(1800. 00).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
156D, 156L and 156M of Article 15 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Kent
County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said sections were
enacted by Chapter 511 of the Acts of 1941, relating to the
duties of the County Treasurer in connection with the col-
lection of taxes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 156D, 156L and 156M of Article 1. 5 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Kent County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said sections
were enacted by Chapter 511 of the Acts of 1941, be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
156D. On the first day of October in each year county
taxes shall be deemed to be in arrears and interest shall be
charged and collected on all taxes not then paid from April
first of the year of the levy, at the rate of one-half of one
percent for each month or fraction thereof. On or before the
twenty-fifth day of October in each year the County Treas-
urer shall mail or deliver to each delinquent tax: payer on
account of his assessment and the taxes arid interest due there-
on with notice that interest is due thereon with a notice and
warning to said delinquent thereto attached, that unless pay-
ment be made in full within thirty days from the mailing or
delivery of said notice that same may be collected by due
process of law; and between the first day of January and the
thirty-first day of January of each year the County Treasurer
shall cause to be published once in each of three successive
weeks as an advertisement in at least two newspapers printed
and published in Kent County a list of all delinquents by
districts, alphabetically, showing the amount for which each
