tee of the American Institute of Homeopathy, respectively.

SEC. 2. And be it farther enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 60.
(Senate Bill 140)

AN ACT to authorize and direct the State Roads Com-
mission to take over and maintain, as a part of the
State highway system, the bridge across the Chester
River, at Crumpton, Maryland.

Whereas, the bridge over the Chester River, at Crump-
ton, Maryland, connects Kent and Queen Anne's Counties
and is the connecting link between the two main State
Highways Nos. 213 and 313; and

Whereas, it seems desirable that this bridge should be
under the supervision and maintenance of the State Roads
Commission, as a part of the State highway system;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the State Roads Commission be and it is
hereby authorized and directed to take over and maintain,
as a part of the State highway system, the bridge across
the Chester River, at Crumpton, Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.
