In Kent County each member of the Board of County Com-
missioners shall receive, in addition to their salaries as County
Commissioners, the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300) per
annum for their services in acting as members of the Board of
License Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly the same shall take effect from 'May 1,
1943.

CHAPTER 449.
(House Bill 405)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
780, 781, 782, 786, 790, 791, 795, 796, and 799 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition),
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Police", and to
add two new sections to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "Police", said new sections
to be known as Section 800B and Section 800C, and to follow
immediately after Section 800A of said Code, and said
amendments and new sections to provide for the appoint-
ment and compensation of police officers, Police Commis-
sioner, retirement provisions, establishment of a Women's
Bureau, authorization of a radio system, and physical exam-
ination for the Montgomery County Police.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 780, 781, 782, 786, 790, 795, 796, and 799
of 'the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County
(1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Police", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to add two new sections to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1939
