Maryland be and the same is hereby given to the United
States of America for the erection of a bridge across
Spesutie Narrows to connect Spesutie Island with main-
land in Harford County at such point as may be deemed
desirable; provided, however, that the entire cost and ex-
pense of the same be borne by the United States of America.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and, having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 417.
(Senate Bill 368)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 285-287, inclusive, of Article 1
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Allegany County", sub-title "Hucksters",
said sections relating to huckstering in Allegany, Wash-
ington or Harford Counties.
Whereas, the provisions of these sections have been
superseded by a state-wide law and are, therefore, no
longer necessary; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 285-287, inclusive, of Article 1 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Allegany County", sub-title "Hucksters", be
and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.
