be governed by the provisions of the section as it read and was
in effect at the time such violation occurred.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-
section (b) (1) of Section 3 of Article 95A of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Ed. ) as amended by
Chapters 17 and 385 of the Acts of 1941, title "Unem-
ployment Compensation, " sub-title "Benefits, " sub-title
"Weekly Benefit Amount, " so. as to increase the maxi-
mum weekly benefits; to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, sub-section (e) of Section 3 of Article
95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Ed. ) as
amended by Chapters 17 and 385 of the Acts of 1941,
title "Unemployment Compensation, " sub-title "Bene-
fits, " sub-title "Duration of Benefits, " so as to increase
the maximum duration of benefits; to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, sub-section (d) (2) of Section
3 of Article 95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Ed. ) as amended by Chapters 17 and 385 of the
Acts of 1941, title "Unemployment Compensation, " sub-
title "Benefits, " sub-title "Benefits after Termination of
Military Service, " so as to extend the base period and
benefit period for individuals in military service; to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-section (d)
(4) of Section 3 of Article 95A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Ed. ) as amended by Chapters 17 and
385 of the Acts of 1941, title "Unemployment Compen-
sation, " sub-title "Benefits, " sub-title "Benefits after
Termination of Military Service, " in order to correct an
erroneous references; to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, sub-section (e) of Section 4 of Article 95A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Ed. ) as
amended by Chapters 17 and 385 of the Acts of. 1941,
t^tle "Unemployment Compensation, " sub-title "Benefit
Eligibility Conditions, " so as to raise the minimum quali-
fying wage; to repeal sub-section (e) of Section 5 of
Article 95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Ed. ) as amended by Chapters 17 and 385 of the Acts
