County", sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks", as
said section was amended by Chapter 208 of the Acts of 1939,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

212. The Clerk of the Circuit Court shall be entitled to
collect from each applicant a fee of One Dollar ($1. 00) for
receiving the application, all such fees to be accounted for
as other fees of the Clerk under the laws of this State. All
fees collected from the issuance of alcoholic liquor licenses,
with amounts collected under Section 212A hereof for news-
paper advertising, shall be paid by the Clerk to the Treas-
urer of Howard County to be credited to the general funds
of the County and disbursed on order of the County Com-
missioners for general county purposes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted,, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 368.
(House Bill 486)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Council
of Laurel to borrow not over One Hundred Thousand Dollars
(f 100, 000. 00) and issue its bonds therefor for the purpose of
constructing a sewage disposal plant and to renew and repair
the sewer mains in the town of Laurel, and to levy taxes to
pay the principal and interest of such indebtedness.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Laurel be and it is
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow on the credit of
the town of Laurel and issue its coupon bonds therefor an
amount not in excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($100. 000. 00) for the purpose of constructing a sewage dis-
posal plant within the limits of the town of Laurel and of
renewing and repairing the sewer mains in the town of Laurel,
the said amount so borrowed to be used for no other purpose
whatever.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said bonds shall
be issued in such denominations as shall be determined by the
'said Mayor and City Council, shall bear interest at a rate to be
determined by the said Mayor and City Council, not in excess
