SECTION 1. Be it enacted J)y the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 77A of Article 14 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Howard
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", £s said section
was amended by Chapter 364 of the Acts of 1937, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

77A. The State's Attorney and each of the County Com-
missioners of Howard County shall receive, accounting from
June 1, 1937, the annual sum of Three Hundred Dollars
($300. 00), payable in monthly installments of Twenty-five
Dollars ($25. 00) each, to defray the traveling expenses of said
officials in -the performance of their official duties, said sum
to be in addition to the annual salary of Seven Hundred and
Fifty Dollars ($750. 00) provided for the County Commis-
sioners in Section 60 of this Article; and for the State's
Attorney shall be in addition to his annual salary of Twelve
Hundred Dollars ($1, 200. 00) provided for the State's Attorney
in Section 296 of this Article; and the Sheriff shall receive,
accounting from June 1, 1943, the annual sum of five hundred
dollars ($500), payable in approximately equal monthly instal-
ments, to defray his traveling expenses in the performance of
his official duties, and for the Sheriff this payment shall be in
addition to his annual salary of fifteen hundred dollars and
expenses of transporting prisoners provided for the Sheriff
in Section 293 of this Article.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 365.
(House Bill 475)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 521
of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Taxing and Assessment Districts", as said section was
enacted by Chapter 27 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, Special Session of 1933, authorizing reimburse-
ment to the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County,
acting as District Council, for expenses incurred by them in
the administration of the provisions of said Chapter 27.
