CHAPTER 49.
(House Bill 43)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 319 to 321, inclusive, of Article 27
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Health—Hours of
Labor of Children".

WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 319 to 321, inclusive, of
Article 27 have been superseded by Section 24 of Article 100
and are unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 319 to 321, inclusive, of Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes
and Punishments", sub-title "Health — Hours of Labor of
Children", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved March 2, 1943.

CHAPTER 50.
(House Bill 61)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
102, 103 and 107 of Article 21 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Conveyancing", sub-title
"Defective Conveyances", as said sections were amended by
Chapter 141 of the Acts of 1941, to make valid deeds, mort-
gages, bonds of conveyances, bills of sale, and all other con-
veyances of real and personal property, or of any interest
therein or of agreements relating thereto, defective in
acknowledgment or in the certificate thereof, or when the
official character of the officer taking the acknowledgment
has not been stated in the body of the certificate or certified
to, as required by law, or when the conveyance or agreement
has not been witnessed or sealed, or when any deed hereto-
fore made to or from a corporation prior to the payment of
bonus tax which was afterwards paid, or any mortgage or
assignment of mortgage defectively sworn to or not sworn
to at all.
