ance with the provision of Section 195 of this Article. In
addition to their duties as Assistant Treasurers the Assistant
Treasurers appointed under this section shall perform such
additional duties as may be prescribed by the Board of County
Commissioners of Montgomery County.
The Board of County Commissioners shall furnish to each
of the Assistant Treasurers mentioned in this Section, such
clerical help as may be necessary for the proper transaction
of the business of their office and at such compensation as
may be fixed by the said Board of County Commissioners.
The Board of County Commissioners shall furnish each of
the Assistant Treasurers mentioned in this Section with ade-
quate office space in or near the County Buildings at Silver
Spring and Bethesda, and shall also furnish them with heat,
light, equipment and supplies necessary to conduct the busi-
ness of their offices.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws, or por-
tions of laws, inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions
of this Act, be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict or inconsistencies.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

AN ACT to provide for two voting Precincts in the Town of
Mount Rainier, and for the rewriting of the registration
books; also to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 756, 762, 763 and 766, of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Prince George's County", sub-title "Mount Rainier", re-
lating to town elections.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
