or disapproval of the provisions of this Act shall be sub-
mitted to the qualified voters of said Town of Fairmount
Heights, as follows: That on the ballots provided by the
Mayor and Common Council at said election there shall be
printed the words, "For twenty-five (f. 25) cent maximum tax
rate" and "Against twenty-five ($. 25) cent maximum tax
rate", with a square after-said words, in each case, for the (X)
mark of the voter, and the voter may vote thereon by an (X)
mark after his choice. If there be a majority of votes cast in
favor of the twenty-five ($. 25) cent maximum tax rate, then
this Act and the provisions hereof shall go into effect imme-
diately, but if there be a majority of votes cast against the
twenty-five ($. 25) cent maximum tax rate, then this Act shall
be null and void.
SEC. 3. And be It further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

(House Bill 352)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 842
of the Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County", sub-
title "Orphans' Court", as said section was amended by
Chapter 457 of the Acts of 1937, increasing the compensa-
tion of the Judges of the Orphans' Court for Prince George's
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 842 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Orphans' Court", as said section was
amended by Chapter 457 of the Acts of 1937, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
842. The judges of the Orphans' Court of Prince George's
County shall each receive a per diem salary of Fifteen Dollars
