CHAPTER 323.
(House Bill 267)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
882 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Bal-
timore City", sub-title "Police Commissioner", relating to
seniority rating for members of the Police Force for time
spent in the armed services of the United States during the
present war.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 882 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition),
title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Police Commissioner", be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

882. The time spent by any member of the Police Force in
military service during the World War or in the armed forces
of the United States during the present war shall be construed
as having been spent on said Police Force for the purpose of
determining seniority rating. The provisions of this section
shall only apply to those who were members of the said Police
Force when war was declared and who subsequently served
and again became members of said Police Force or who shall
hereafter become members of said Police Force.

SEC, 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 324.
(House Bill 332)

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Police Commissioner of
Baltimore City to reinstate John D. Klingel, Sr., 5204
Cuthbert Avenue, as a member of the Police Force of Balti-
more City.
