CHAPTER 40.
(House Bill 7)

AN ACT to repeal Section 37 of Article 59 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and In-
sane", sub-title "Board of Mental Hygiene", said section
vesting the Board of Mental Hygiene with the duties of
Coroner.

WHEREAS, the provisions of this section are unnecessary
since the creation of the Board of Post Mortem Examiners;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 37 of Article 59 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and Insane", sub-
title "Board of Mental Hygiene", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved March 2, 1943.

CHAPTER 41.
(House Bill 8)

AN ACT to repeal Section 17 of Article 59 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and In-
sane", sub-title "Board of Mental Hygiene", said section
relating to the expenses of the Commissioner of Mental Hy-
giene.

WHEREAS, the provisions of this section are no longer
applicable under the Budget Amendment; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 17 of Article 59 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and Insane'', sub-
title "Board of Mental Hygiene", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved March 2, 1943.
