moneys transferred from the Office of the Commissioner of
Motor Vehicles to the Department of Maryland State Police.

WHEREAS, Section 6 of Article 88B merely provided for the
transfer of employees from the office of Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles to the Department of Maryland State Police and is no
longer necessary; and

WHEREAS, Section 7 of Article 88B merely provided for the
transfer of equipment, supplies and moneys from the Office of
the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to the Department of
Maryland State Police and is no longer necessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 6 and 7 of Article 88B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Police", be and
they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the repeal of Section
6 of said Article 88B shall not, in any way, affect, the status
of the said employees of the Department of Maryland State
Police in the State Merit System, but said employees shall con-
tinue under the said Merit System as if said section had not
been repealed, and the repeal of Section 7 of said Article shall,
in no way, affect the right of the Department of Maryland
State Police to the property transferred from the Commis-
sioner of Motor Vehicles to said Department.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 281.
(House Bill 288)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Health", sub-title
"Adulteration of Food and Drink", said new section to be
known as Section 194A, and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 194 of said Article, relating to the standards of ice
cream, frozen custard, and iced milk.

WHEREAS, the Secretary of Agriculture, pursuant to execu-
tive order, has imposed restrictions on the production of frozen
