Building Committee shall act in an advisory capacity with
the Board of Education of Calvert County in preparing
plans and specifications for the public school building au-
thorized to be erected by this Act. The plans and speci-
fications for said school building shall be subject to the
approval of the State Superintendent of Schools, as pro-
vided in Section 39 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition).

(e) Any balance remaining after paying the cost of pro-
viding the public school building at Huntington may be
used by the County Commissioners for general county pur-
poses.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of paying the interest on such bonds as may be issued under
the provisions of this Act and redeeming them as they
mature, the County Commissioners of Calvert County shall
include in the levy for the year after their issuance and
each year thereafter until they mature and have been re-
deemed an amount sufficient to pay the annual interest on
the bonds and to redeem them as they mature.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed by yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 269.

(Senate Bill 267)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Calvert County", to be under sub-title "Police", said
new section to be known as Section 233A and to follow
immediately after Section 233 of said Article, authoriz-
ing the County Commissioners of Calvert County to
appoint policemen and prescribe their duties and sal-
aries and levy for same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
